Demolish or Re-imagine?
The Park School located in Draper, Utah is in need of a new vision! The school is currently in great need of renovation to become functional once again. The current city council is proposing to demolish the building-citing cost as the major deterrent. The Historical Preservation Committee would like to have an architectural assessment completed to determine the extent of renovations needed, and if possible preserve the historic part of the building.
So....if we can save this building, which is on the National Register of Historic Sites, what could we do with it?
What about a Community Center For The Arts? A place that could bring the community together through music, visual arts, theater, and dance. A place that would incorporate the rich vibrancy of the arts with education.
A place to imagine.
